  • About the Role We have an exciting Project Officer role within the Office of the Pro Vice- Chancellor (Education and Quality), providing essential executive support and overseeing the efficient operation of the office.

    Responsibilities include coordinating meetings and committees, managing travel arrangements, preparing documents, handling administrative tasks related to delegated authorities, financial administration, managing communication channels, and collaborating with colleagues to support projects and events.

    This position requires a diverse skill set, strong communication skills with senior staff and external stakeholders, initiative, discretion and autonomy. The Project Officer plays a key role in proactively resolving any issues as they arise and ensure the smooth functioning of the office.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

    • Provide coordination support for the planning, implementation and roll-out of a number of Education and Quality Services projects, including initiatives that support the University's Strategic Plan • Establish and effectively maintain documentation related to project work, including appropriate literature, administrative forms, project details as well as presentations. • Provide executive support to, and manage the communication channels, of the PVC (E&Q) • Ensure appropriate communication between internal staff members, key stakeholders, and external consultants • Work closely with the Executive Officer to monitor all projects managed by the Education and Quality Services leadership team, ensuring projects are developed and submitted in required time frames.

    Qualifications • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
