    About the Role:

The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for a professional, highly organised and self-starting Project Officer (Administration) to work in this exciting role at the heart of a new £30m six-year project global research and policy initiative.

The What Works Hub on Global Education (WWH) aims to dramatically increase learning outcomes for children in developing countries by generating new evidence, and working with policymakers and NGOs to deliver the best teaching at scale.

Initially, the post-holder will manage the day-to-day administrative activities of the project, alongside the Project Officer (Finance and Compliance). At first this will entail setting up clear systems within the Blavatnik School of Government, the University of Oxford and the WWH's circa 40 partners. The post-holder will play a vital role in supporting the WWH's first partner meeting, and will also lead on organising and minuting a series of governance meetings for high-level partners.

The post will report to the Fund Manager and Project Manager, providing Flexible Fund grant management support as well as coordinating with the other Project Officer (Administration) on relevant diary management, scheduling and secretarial duties for the programme as needed.

    About You:

The successful candidate will be educated to undergraduate level with a flexible can-do approach to work, self-motivation, resilience and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of the programme. You should have excellent problem-solving, communication, team-work and diplomatic skills, as well as enthusiasm for the work of the WWH.

    Application Process:

You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.

As part of the recruitment process, selected candidates will be required to complete a timed longlisting exercise.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates are expected to take place during the weeks commencing Monday 26 February and Monday 4 March 2024

The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon (UK time) on Monday 19 February 2024.
