It offers a great opportunity to get involved in and learn from a high profile and wide impact programme that has been identified as one of the University of Cambridge's top priorities for the next few years.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the role will be responsible for management of one or more high profile projects, working flexibly to lead on project management, planning, resourcing, scheduling, risk management, and implementation. It will support the Senior Project Manager in effectively managing relationships with stakeholders, governance bodies and consultants and will be key to creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm, and momentum on a portfolio of projects. The role holder will be expected to:

  • Create and maintain required documentation, including detailed project plans
  • Maintain accurate budgetary information
  • Complete progress reporting in line with programme requirements and report and present to governance bodies and programme boards
  • Collaborate closely with change and communications staff to plan and execute effective stakeholder engagement
  • Set up and manage contracts with third party providers
  • Work closely with other project managers to manage major dependencies across projects
  • There will be an option to explore the possibility of gaining a professional project management qualification.

  • An ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with senior management, external partners and with people at all levels.
  • Benefits

The University offers an excellent benefit package including:
