About the Role: The Western Australian GreenTech Hub, hosted by Curtin University, brings together researchers, industry and government to support green entrepreneurship, accelerate emerging technologies and contribute to the decarbonisation of Western Australia. Working within a small and collaborative team, you will help establish and grow the Hub while contributing to meaningful innovation and impact.

As Project Coordinator, you will coordinate a varied portfolio of Hub activities and projects under the guidance of the GreenTech Hub Director. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to new initiatives, connecting with diverse stakeholders and translating ideas into well-planned, engaging and successfully delivered programs.

Your work will span project coordination, innovation challenges, communications, events and stakeholder engagement. You will have the opportunity to exercise initiative and creative flair while helping communicate the Hub's activities, outcomes and impact to a broad audience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation, maintaining clear work plans, schedules, budgets, risks and performance measures.
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of innovation challenges, including program design, promotion, applicant engagement, assessment processes and the announcement of successful participants.
  • Plan and coordinate engaging events such as program launches, workshops, pitch presentations, judging panels and award ceremonies.
  • Develop clear and compelling communications across websites, social media, newsletters, stakeholder updates and media materials.
  • Build productive relationships with researchers, technology developers, industry representatives, government partners, applicants, advisory groups and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare project reports, impact reports, case studies and supporting documentation that clearly communicate progress, outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops and focus groups, ensuring decisions and actions are documented and progressed.
  • Identify and address issues affecting delivery while providing timely, accurate updates to the Hub's leadership team.
  • Who We Are Looking For (Selection Criteria):

    Essential:

  • A relevant degree and considerable relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder programs, competitions, innovation challenges or similar end-to-end initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate plans, resources and competing priorities within agreed timeframes and constraints.
  • An understanding of technology commercialisation, innovation ecosystems or the clean and green technology sector, together with the ability to support technology developers through deployment or scale-up.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to consult and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear reports, communications content and project documentation.
  • Sound judgement, initiative and practical problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute positively within a small, purpose-driven team.
  • Desirable:

  • Project management certification
  • Experience working in a tertiary environment
  • Previous experience in clean technology
  • Role Requirements:

  • As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction.
  • Ability to work outside normal office hours when required.
  • Capacity to undertake regional, interstate or overseas travel when required.
  • This position will work across Curtin's Bentley Campus and CBD locations.
  • Your New Team - The GreenTech Hub: The Western Australian GreenTech Hub is one of five innovation hubs established by the Western Australian Government to accelerate the development and deployment of technologies that support the State's transition to a low- carbon future. Hosted by Curtin University through the Curtin Institute for Energy Transition, the Hub brings together researchers, industry, government and investors to help turn promising ideas into real-world impact.

Operating as a partnership between Curtin University and the Western Australian Government, the GreenTech Hub supports entrepreneurs, researchers and technology developers through innovation challenges, stakeholder engagement, technology deployment activities and sector-building initiatives. The Hub plays an important role in strengthening Western Australia's clean technology ecosystem and accelerating solutions that contribute to decarbonisation and sustainable economic growth.

As Project Coordinator, you will join a small, collaborative team and work closely with the Hub Director, Project Manager, Curtin staff, industry partners, government stakeholders and technology innovators to help deliver the Hub's ambitious agenda.
