  • About This Opportunity

    The Project Communications Coordinator in the Academic Services Division (ASD) will provide high-level administrative services and support for special projects, processes and dissemination of information relating to the business of the portfolio.

    Within the context of the Academic Services portfolio, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, refine, and develop tools and templates for ASD, ensuring consistent management and communication of changes to systems, policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure timely and appropriate communication is delivered to students, staff and stakeholders.

  • Evaluate and provide advice on compliance, legislation, and policy matters, utilising detailed knowledge of academic policies to interpret complex issues.

  • Develop action plans, communication plans and implementation schedules for process reviews, within agreed timeframes.

  • Develop the ASD Annual report, regular reports, submissions, and special project work, ensuring accurate and timely delivery on behalf of the division.

  • Maintain and report on a register of ongoing projects across ASD, participating in technology forums to support users and ensuring alignment with University committees and working parties.

  • About You
  • Possess a relevant degree with a minimum of four years of subsequent experience, or demonstrate an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.

  • Exhibit high-level organisational and administrative abilities, capable of working autonomously with initiative, discretion, and sound judgment.

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and oral, enabling effective consultation, negotiation and collaboration with diverse groups within and external to the University.

  • Display proficiency in using various computer applications within a network environment, including databases and management information systems like SI-net, Business Objects, UniFi, CRM, and TRIM, or show the capacity to swiftly acquire such knowledge.

  • Familiarity with the Australian University context and compliance requirements, along with demonstrated experience in process development and review.

  • Exhibit excellent accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

  • Possess knowledge of relevant legislation in Higher Education or demonstrate the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

  • You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
