Duration of Contract: Fixed term (18 months)

Salary: UH8 £44,263 to £46,974 with potential to progress to £56,021 by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

The Healthcare Technologies Capabilities Connector is a Research England funded project delivered in collaboration with Imperial College London and Cranfield University. The programme is designed to connect capabilities across all organisations to boost commercialisation know-how; share best practice around effective research translation and jointly build a diverse talent pipeline of researchers and entrepreneurs, supporting businesses across the partners' combined networks to scale-up and bring new products, services and technologies to market.

We are seeking an experienced Programme Operations Manager to guide and deliver the HTCC programme which will link key existing innovation ecosystems in this sector, enhance researchers' ability to bring their ideas to market and provide businesses with access to both expertise and specialist facilities.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Programme Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of all programme activities, including monitoring deliverables, expenditure, and budgets, overseeing billing, and ensuring compliance with regulators and funders. Additionally, the Programme Operations Manager will implement and maintain stakeholders' feedback and evaluation mechanisms and monitor outputs against knowledge exchange activities, working with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement and monitor relevant processes to ensure the programme's deliverables and KPIs are effectively and efficiently met.

The Programme Operations Manager will be responsible for drafting and maintaining a detailed project plan, to include key milestones, resources management, and risk mitigation. Additionally, the Programme Operations Manager will be responsible for monitoring the programme's progress and providing regular reports to the programme's Steering group, producing statistical reporting of outputs and income expenditure as required by external regulators and funders. The Programme Operations Manager will be expected to maintain an excellent level of service and utilise stakeholder feedback to make service and process improvements and inform future programmes design.

Skills and experience required

You will require excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels, both verbally and by email; experience of organising and chairing meetings; the ability to work independently, but also working as part of a team; the ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines whilst managing parallel demands effectively; the ability to manage a diverse workload with a flexible approach. You will be highly self-motivated, and collegiate in your approach and fully committed to delivering a high-quality service. Importantly, you will be demonstrably passionate about this area.

Qualifications required

You will hold a minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent relevant professional qualifications or proven experience.
