The Hull York Medical School is one of the UK's most exciting contemporary schools, delivering innovative and rigorous education. The School produces brilliant doctors through its undergraduate medicine programme and trains clinical and academic leaders of the future through its postgraduate programmes.
The Hull York Medical School operates across the University of Hull and the University of York and undertakes a number of functions in-house that may usually be supported by central services in other departments. This includes timetabling activity across both sites and the detailed planning, scheduling and delivery of both written and clinical exams.
Role:-
Based in either Hull or York, the Programme Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Programme Delivery and Assessment Team, who support all Hull York Medical School students (UG, PGT and PGR students) from enrolment to graduation. The role holder will work with relevant Chairs of Committees and senior colleagues to ensure that student facing services are managed to the highest operational standards.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed:-
We are seeking a postholder that can work to a high level of autonomy, manage their own time and shape the role according to the varying needs of the School. You will have the ability to line manage a large team of administrative staff and be able to apply available resources to optimum effect. The postholder will have experience of developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, continuous improvement and will be able to work to high levels of detail under time pressure.
The postholder will work closely with a wide range of colleagues in varied roles across the School, the Universities and the NHS, we are therefore seeking someone with strong experience of building and maintaining relationships and networks.
