Programme Designer

Job description

Education and Academic Services

Learning Experiences and Innovation

This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until the 31st July 2025.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Programme Design and Quality Enhancement Team within the Learning Experiences and Innovation Service. As a Programme Designer you will take a leading role in processes to optimise Faculty taught portfolios. You will support the creation of new programmes and modules, developing business cases to create high quality programmes based on competitor insight. You will work closely with key stakeholders, coordinating processes involved in the development of the taught portfolio in line with the University's key strategic objectives, as outlined in the 2030 Strategy and Education Strategy.

Learning Experiences and Innovation (LXI)

Learning Experiences & Innovation (LXI) is the ‘go-to' service across the Exeter learning community in uplifting our students, academics, staff, and partners to co-create a distinctive learning experience where every learner thrives. LXI consists of seven main units; Educator Development, Student Voice & Change, Learning Development, Learning Design, Experimentation & Innovation; Programme Design & Quality Enhancement, and Educational Policy, Quality & Standards. The teams work alongside and in support of several portfolios focussed on the University's key strategic aims (Online Education, Education Strategic Delivery, Innovation Piloting and Scaling, and Taught Portfolio) and the priorities of its Faculties (Environment, Science and Economy; Health and Life Sciences; Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences).

LXI is part of the Education and Academic Services (EAS) Division. EAS brings together all the key administration and educational support that underpins the student and educator experience. Alongside LXI this includes Faculty Operations, Sport, Arts and Culture and all elements of Education and Student Support.
