Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Research Manager for Farm Viability.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Assists with project and program development and other implementation practices, including the production of graphic and written reports
  • Organizes, administers and coordinates multiple facets of programs, projects, and processes with the planning, preparation, evaluation, and control of communications, events, records, statistics, reports, and documents. Interprets agreements and ensures the accuracy of deliverables
  • Helps management of communication consistency in response to extension personnel, as well as State Board of Ag members
  • Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week 19.9 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement

    Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date.     Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  • Certifications/Licenses

  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • GIS, CAD and Adobe suites software
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, and computer literacy. Ability to work independently on projects as assigned. Must have own transportation.
  • Equipment Utilized

  • PC, Office equipment such as copiers etc.

    Immunization Requirements

    Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
