Reporting to the More Than A Job NC Education Navigator, the Program Assistant provides administrative and navigation support for More Than A Job NC program activity. Administrative support includes handling website referrals to complete the program eligibility process, complete enrollment paperwork with program participants, document student activities (class attendance) and supports, attend program meetings and trainings with the Education Navigator, and attend outreach events.

Education Required
  • Associate’s Degree, Business Administration, Office Management, or related field from an institutionally accredited college/university.
Education Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration, Office Management, or related field from an institutionally accredited college/university.
Experience Required
  • Two years of related administrative experience.
  • One year of experience working with social service organizations and/or collaborative programming teams.
  • One year of experience in customer service that includes data collection, and data entry.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).



Experience Preferred
  • · Prefer experience in higher education, including employee relations experience involving staff and academic faculty.

KSA Required

  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
KSA Preferred
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Be adaptable and flexible in managing tasks
  • Promote the interest of the College, NCDHHS, and Guilford County DSS, in all formal and informal community contacts.
