The Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience, which is situated in the School of Medicine (https: // www. ucc.ie/en/medical/aboutus/depts) is a modern, cutting- edge unit for the research, teaching and learning of anatomy and neuroscience. ‌ It is ranked as number 1 in Ireland and is in the top 100 in the world for Anatomy and Physiology according to the QS World University Rankings for 2023.

Research within the Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience is multidisciplinary in nature (www. ucc.ie/en/anatomy/research/ ). This strategy, aided by substantial institutional and external grant support, has empowered high- impact collaborations between academic staff, clinicians and technologists, that have surmounted traditional boundaries to not only accelerate innovation and discovery, but also to translate this transformative research to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Appointment may be made on the Professor (Scale 2) salary scale €113,471 – €133,265 (Scale B) or €107,797 - €126,604 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
