Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for full or limited registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent and registered in the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Hong Kong; (iii) post- qualification experience in relevant discipline, i.e. General Surgery/Plastic Surgery/Paediatric Surgery/Urology/ Neurosurgery/ Cardiothoracic Surgery; and (iv) an outstanding track record and accomplishments in teaching, clinical services and research.
The appointee(s) will (a) provide clinical services; (b) conduct research and clinical trials; (c) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; and (d) undertake administrative duties in the Department, Faculty and University. The appointee(s) will work mainly at the Prince of Wales Hospital and hospitals in the New Territories East Cluster. Appointment(s) will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
