The University has an established priority for interdisciplinary microbiology research, and sector-leading multidisciplinary research centres of excellence including the newly expanded NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre that brings expertise together from across the University and beyond to deliver impactful change. The appointee will work within the network of Microbiology excellence in the University adding further value to this approach to help deliver the University of Leeds Strategy 2020-30. As a scientist you will have an established international reputation or be on a clear trajectory towards such standing. Undertaking internationally leading research and inspirational teaching, you will make a major contribution to the strategic academic development, direction and leadership of the School, Faculty and University.
