The Department of Psychology invites applications for a part-time Professor with a focus on experimental social psychology.

MAIN JOB CONTENT

Education

  • Creative application of the results of scientific research activities to teaching activities, especially to the guidance of students in doctoral or master's degree programmes.
  • Conducting lectures or other forms of teaching, especially in a master's or doctoral programme. Conducting and opposing theses and dissertations.
  • Serving on committees for state doctoral examinations and doctoral dissertation defences, membership of committees for state final examinations or state rigorous examinations.
  • Reviewing doctoral or habilitation theses or participating in habilitation or appointment committees.
  • Participation in publications for educational purposes.
  • Research

  • Ensuring research, development and innovation, in particular by initiating and leading research, development or innovation programmes or projects. These activities include in particular:

  • solving tasks of basic or applied research or development of fundamental importance for the given field of science and publication of its results in peer-reviewed journals; or

  • active participation in domestic and foreign scientific conferences and professional meetings and presentation of research results,
  • reviewing and opposing projects at the national level within the relevant field.
  • Other

  • Contribute to the provision of operational and administrative activities related to the academic position as directed by the Head of Department, e.g.:

  • routine administrative tasks in the administration of own courses, use of e-learning and communication with students via the MU Information System,

  • organization and participation in international internships of students and academic staff,
  • contribution to the promotion of the field.

  • Appointment as professor.
  • Professional focus on experimental social psychology and intercultural psychology.
  • International results (scientific results, grants, teaching results, etc.), long-term international work experience, contribution to the implementation of major international scientific projects, international lecturing activities.
  • Length of experience required

  • Experience in psychology of at least 15 years.
  • Other knowledge and skills a requirement or an advantage)

    Language skills

  • Knowledge of Czech language at C2 level and English language at B2/C1/C2 level is a prerequisite.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Czech language in both written and verbal form is a prerequisite.
  • High level of proficiency in at least one of the following languages: German, French.
  • Requirements related to job content

  • Presentation, organizational, didactic and mentoring skills at an advanced level.
  • The ability to transfer the results of scientific research activities into pedagogical activities.
  • Ability to participate in publishing activities for educational purposes.
  • The ability to independently solve and lead research projects of fundamental importance to the field.
