We are seeking to recruit a part-time Professional Placements Administrator to join our vital placements team within the School of Sport and Health Sciences.

This is a busy and highly responsible role working within a supportive and well-established team, and you will have responsibility for organising and monitoring the placement of students with external placement providers. This will involve assessing the suitability of placements and match students to placements appropriately. You will have extensive contact with students and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external placement provider contacts, providing practical advice and up to date placement data, so your effective communication and customer service skills will be invaluable for building effective relationships.

As well as using your own initiative, you will need to be able to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a large and friendly team. You must have the ability to work systematically to meet deadlines and have problem- solving abilities to proactively deal with change. Being accurate and being confident with databases and Excel will be essential.

To be successful, you should have:

Experience of working with large databases and software platforms would be beneficial, and an understanding of University processes would also be a benefit, but by no means essential.

The role is eligible for agile working, to be arranged with your manager and after your initial training. It is fixed term until 27/06/2025.
