The School now invites applications for the position of Professional Consultant / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in public health and related areas.
The successful applicant(s) will be required to (a) deliver lectures and tutorials in different areas of public health, health sciences and research methodology at undergraduate/postgraduate level; (b) prepare course materials and assess student performance; (c) provide student consultations; and (e) perform managerial/administrative duties as assigned.
For application(s) of Senior Lecturer(s)/ Lecturer(s), applicant(s) should possess the following qualifications and experience:
(i) higher degree (for Senior Lecturer: a doctoral degree; for Lecturer: at least a Master's degree) in public health, health sciences, or related disciplines;
(ii) minimum of eight years of post-qualification teaching/ professional experience (for Senior Lecturer), or minimum of four years of post-Master's degree teaching/ professional experience (for Lecturer);
(iii) demonstrated ability to deliver high quality teaching in public health, health sciences and research methodology at the university level/tertiary education level; and
(iv) proficient in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is preferred but not essential.
For application(s) of Professional Consultant, applicant(s) should possess higher degree and have a minimum of 8 years of relevant full-time professional experience in the field of public health, health services and related sectors and a strong commitment to teaching, preferably with teaching experience in relevant disciplines.
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract basis initially for up to two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
