Your new role As the Product Owner, ServiceNow , you will lead, champion, and take full ownership of the strategic direction of the ServiceNow platform, products, and capabilities. You will be responsible for aligning the platform with the university's overall strategy, digital roadmap, and governance policies. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing its features and adapting the tool for effective use across various departments within the university. Your leadership will be integral in driving platform improvements and ensuring seamless integration with university systems. With additional guidance from ServiceNow Impact, you will also be instrumental in advancing the platform's maturity, enhancing its services, and maximizing its value for the university.

As the Product Owner for ServiceNow, you will also:

  • Collaborate closely with ServiceNow teams to stay informed about new features and the future product roadmap, ensuring strategic planning to leverage these capabilities for the university as they become available.
  • Ensure the platform remains scalable (minimal to no customizations), reliable, and secure, meeting the university's security standards and framework.
  • Continuously monitor platform performance and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure staff and users are well-equipped to maximize platform usage.
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across the platform.
  • Manage technical teams of ServiceNow Developers and Administrators, ensuring smooth execution of product roadmaps.
  • We are looking for someone with:

  • Significant Product Ownership experience in the ICT field with a strong focus on ServiceNow.
  • ServiceNow training and certifications: SPM, CSM, and ITOM/ITAM (Essential). APM, HR, GRC, FSM (Advantageous).
  • Expertise in implementing and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications and cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, with the ability to assess impacts and correlations with business needs.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, managing product backlogs, and delivering value-driven results.
  • Work Requirements:

  • Must have current work rights in Australia.
  • Based in Perth, WA or have confirmed plans to relocate. Relocation and sponsorship support is not available.
