Your new role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Development Manager to
join the Curtin Strategy and Marketing portfolio with the Strategy,
Performance and Market Analysis team. At Curtin University, we are committed

As the Product Development Manager , you will be responsible for managing
activities that support product management and market analysis. This role will
lead comprehensive market research and analysis endeavours aimed at shaping
course and product development strategies across the entirety of Curtin's
diverse course offerings, spanning our global campuses and online platforms.
Your invaluable strategic insights and recommendations will guide our key
stakeholders within the University, identifying opportunities to improve
existing products, as well as new opportunities that should be evaluated.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic insights to inform product development, including new
and existing courses/products.
Undertake primary market research, market sizing, and modelling to support
feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop customer and product value
propositions aligned with strategic objectives.
Lead environmental scanning, market, product, and competitor analysis to
identify opportunities and threats.
Partner with our Faculties, Campuses, Schools, and other central teams to
facilitate continuous improvements and progress opportunities.
Engage with external stakeholders, including market research firms and
consultancy firms, as required.
Provide leadership and management of staff, including recruitment, and
performance management.
We are looking for someone with:
Postgraduate qualifications in Commerce/Business or equivalent experience.
Experience in product development and management, with strong commercial
acumen and understanding of the user experience and product lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability in data analysis, business modelling, and project
management.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the
ability to manage stakeholders effectively and work collaboratively across
functions.
Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on driving results and building
capability.
Deep motivation and drive for continuous improvement, we are seeking
someone who is curious and innovative with a strong business development
mindset.
