The School of Food & Nutritional Sciences is looking to employ an experienced, enthusiastic Practice Education Tutor. Reporting to the Head of School, this is an exciting opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the delivery of the MSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at University College Cork and inspire the workforce of the future. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, who have relevant experience, to support students and practice education partners of the MSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

As a member of the team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of practice placement opportunities for students and coordinate the scheduling of teaching at all practice placement sites. The successful candidate, while based on the UCC campus, at times will also be required to attend the various practice placement sites within the SSWHG, for the provision of practice placement education. The successful candidates will be required to provide academic support, including tutorials, to the MSc students while they are on placement as well as induct any new hospital staff and refresh existing hospital staff of the requirements within the programme and the role of the practice tutor within the department.

Appointment may be made on the HSE Senior Dietician Salary Scale (Pro Rata 60%): €60,816-€71,609.

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy .
