We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a feasibility trial of a programme to support the development of executive functions in toddlers at elevated likelihood of autism or ADHD funded by a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Castang Foundation Advanced Fellowship awarded to Dr Alexandra Hendry.

The post-holder will report to Dr Hendry. For more information about START, see START Project

The post is full-time, fixed-term for up to 13 months (with a potential short extension if funding becomes available). If preferred, there may be an opportunity to convert the role to part-time (to a minimum of .8FTE). Job share applications will also be considered.

The post holder will play a key role in the feasibility Randomised Controller Trial (RCT) of START. Activities will range from collecting behavioural data through to analysing data and presenting results. The varied portfolio of activities will suit individuals with a keen interest in developmental cognitive psychology and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Successful applicants will need to hold a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have excellent communication, team working and organisational skills, and the ability to manage their own research and administrative activities. Experience of collecting data from, or working with, young children with developmental conditions or special educational needs is desirable.

Only applications received before 12pm (midday) on 5 July 2024 will be considered. We anticipate interviews will be held the week commencing 22 July 2024.
