DP-19 Postdoctoral Researcher/ Scientist in RF Front-End Components and Antenna Subsystems

The Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group at Tyndall National Institute (TNI) and University College Cork, Cork, Ireland invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher/Scientist in RF Front-End Components and Antenna Subsystems. We are looking for highly-motivated and ambitious researchers with strong background in RF circuit design, electromagnetics, wave-propagation and antennas to work on cutting edge research in RF front-end-antenna sub-systems for 6G communications and Internet-of-Space (IOS). This will encompass research in a number of areas including:
The post holder will be the lead researcher in one or more of the aforementioned research areas and will be responsible of certain project tasks and deliverables. Furthermore, the post holder is expected to be involved in proposals development, lab and equipment management. The post offers a superb opportunity for an ambitious researcher to develop an independent research portfolio in areas of interest of the group and transition to an independent researcher that will later on lead his/her own team.
The successful candidate will become a member of a vibrant and diverse community of academics, research professionals and students at TNI and UCC and will have access to world-class RF characterization and manufacturing facilities at TNI. The candidate will be given an initial 12 months contract with scope for long term extension subject to performance and availability of funds.
Appointment may be made on the IUA Scale for Post-Doctoral Researchers €42,781-€49,177 pa and Senior Post-Doctoral Researchers €50,540 -€54,966 pa. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
