We have an excellent opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Protein Quantification in Alzheimer's Disease to join the newly established multidisciplinary Oxford-GSK Institute of Molecular and Computational Medicine (IMCM), operating within Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) in collaboration with Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience (NDCN), Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, Department of Psychiatry and Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG).

You will be primarily responsible for conducting and analysing enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) on biofluids, for proteomic sample preparation from human post-mortem brain tissue, and for collaborating with the core bioinformatics team to quality control, analyse and integrate their data with data from across the multi-disciplinary project.

It is essential that you hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in biochemistry, molecular biology, neuroscience or a related field, together with relevant experience and knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's Disease. You will be Familiar with protein-focussed molecular biology techniques; for example tissue fractionation, immunoprecipitation and have experience with protein quantification techniques, ideally ELISA and SIMOA. Being able to manage your own research and administrative activities is also essential. Experience with sample preparation for mass-spectrometry proteomics and integrative analyses with other data modalities is highly desirable.
