  • About the Role The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team.

    This exciting opportunity will be supporting a cutting-edge CSIRO Data61 6G security project on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs, focusing on cybersecurity, a critical aspect of Australia's national security, innovation, and prosperity.

    In this role, you will a crucial role in researching and implementing theories related to 6G networks, software supply chain security, and bridging the gap between security standards and implementations.

    Please note that the successful candidate will need to undergo the CSIRO Data61 clearance process before assuming the position.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Extensive knowledge in software engineering, software testing, machine learning, and cybersecurity
  • Proven ability to conduct high quality research, development, and implementation in cybersecurity domain, including software security, with publications in the top-tier security conferences, or similar level conferences in other domains.
  • Demonstrated highly-effective communication skills
  • Rich experience in network and system software development
  • Experience in working in project management
  • Qualifications A relevant PhD degree in computer science and/or IT discipline.
