About the role

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in membrane protein biochemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Dame Carol Robinson for a period of up to two years. The project involves protein expression and mass spectrometry of solute carriers and GPCRs is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

About you

Applicants should hold a PhD in Chemistry, Biophysics, Biochemistry or a relevant subject area and have experience of membrane protein expression and/or native mass spectrometry. This post is for an experienced researcher with a proven track record. Particular preference will be given to those with experience in expressing challenging membrane protein targets.

As this is a senior role you will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines as agreed in advance.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, New Biochemistry Building, South Parks Road, Oxford and is available as soon as possible.
