Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Meera Mehta for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves the methods in air sensitive synthesis, catalysis, spectroscopy, and computational chemistry and is funded by the EPSRC and UKRI.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment. The research requires experience in air sensitive synthesis, cluster chemistry, catalysis, spectroscopy, and computational chemistry. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory and is available from May 1st, 2024.
