Offer Description

The future recruit will be tasked with developing the sensor component of a non-destructive testing device for high-value-added steel parts based on magnetization mechanisms.

The future recruit will be tasked with setting up precise instrumentation for the magnetic characterization of ferromagnetic steel parts to assess their integrity. Techniques such as magnetic Barkhausen noise measurement, magnetic incremental permeability, Eddy current testing, and magnetic hysteresis cycles will be included. All of this will be done with a unique sensor head capable of generating both uni-directional and rotating magnetic fields.

This post-doctoral position is part of the i-demo OCEA project, focusing on developing a non-destructive testing device for high-value-added ferromagnetic steels. The primary workplace will be at IRL 3557 ELyTMaX (Sendai, Japan), with potential stays at the partner company CMPhy (Châlon-sur-Saône, France).
