Postdoctoral Researcher - Behavioural Economics, 1 FTE, J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, 010843

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed term (1 year) position as a Post-doctoral researcher in Behavioural Economics at the Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (CERIS) and the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, at the University of Galway, Ireland.

This position is funded by Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland and is available immediately. The currently available funding will support a full-time 1-year (12 month) post-doc position, with potential for a further 2-year (24 month) extension, subject to funding.

We are ideally looking to hire a researcher with a behavioural economics (or similar) background, with expertise in quantitative methods, causal inference and experience of running lab-based experiments or games.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing a programme of research on how flood forecast information affects risk management decision-making at the local scale, as part of the “Stop Floods for Ireland - Developing novel approaches for forecasting of flood events” (StopFloods4.ie) research project. The researcher will be part of the CERIS research group based in the Discipline of Economics at the University of Galway.

Salary: Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale €44,846 - €57,332 per annum, (subject to the project's funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
