Position Summary
Applications are invited for the role of Post-Doctoral Researcher within the School of Chemistry and Analytical & Biological Chemistry Research Facility (ABCRF).
Applications are sought from PhD graduates with experience in any area of synthetic organic chemistry to undertake an exciting research project focused on photochemical transformations in flow in collaboration with Pfizer. The successful candidate will join an active research team in UCC with extensive experience in enantioselective catalysis and flow chemistry and a strong track record in successful collaboration with the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will gain valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities in utilising photochemistry in flow for API synthesis at scale.
The collaborators from Pfizer are part of the Global R&D (Pharmaceutical Sciences) organisation located at the newly constructed Ringaskiddy Clinical Manufacturing Facility (RCMF) in Ringaskiddy. This is a clinical API manufacturing facility employing batch & continuous technologies to bring medicines to the world faster.

Post Duration: 12 Months
Salary: €44,847 - €51,313 per annum, IUA PD1
