Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526880). To commence from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline, and experience in analyzing survey and/or assessment data. Familiarity with the literature on STEAM education, digital literacy, and/or factors influencing students' educational achievement is a clear advantage. Preference will be given to those with experience in managing and analyzing large scale quantitative research using advanced statistical methods, such as multiple linear regression, mediation analysis, multilevel modeling, and/or latent variable models. Good organizational skills and the ability to work on a tight schedule are essential to succeed in this role. Applicants should have a high level of English writing proficiency and be able to write up research findings for both academic and general audiences. He/She should be self- motivated, responsible and able to work independently and within a team.

The appointee will work on a project on STEAM education and transformative leadership. He/She will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the project team to conduct research in a predominantly independent manner, and pursue investigations in the teaching and learning of STEAM, multilevel leadership and other related research studies. He/She will be responsible for (a) research and instrument design; (b) data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; (c) preparation for publications in peer reviewed journals and books; (d) working collaboratively with the project team to liaise with schools, professional bodies and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the research studies can be implemented smoothly; and (e) providing assistance in administrative and promotion work of the project.
