Duties and Responsibilities
Be able to work individually on a project related to one or more the following aspects: deep learning for medical vision, 3D reconstruction, 3D modeling and rendering, depth sensing, computer graphics.
Coordinate data collection, processing, and analysis for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Undertake essential engineering tasks for seamless project execution.
Report progress and deliverables punctually on a weekly basis.
Conduct cutting-edge research and prepare academic articles individually.
Mentor and supervise graduates, undergraduates, and research assistants for their professional growth.
Actively participate in grant proposal writing to secure funding for innovative projects.
Applicants should also have keen interests in medical applications, software and platform development as well as strong technical knowledge and skills in computer graphics and 3D sensing related fields.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Engineering/Science or a related field which meets the criteria as set out in the guidelines of the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) (https: // www. itf.gov.hk/en/funding-programmes/nurturing-talent/research-talent-hub/research-talent-hub-for-itf-projects-rth-itf-/index.html).
Familiar with deep learning toolbox (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, etc) and classical framework. Has rich experience in one or more following fields: computer graphics, computer vision, 3D modelling, 3D Rendering, depth sensing, etc.
Have rich experience in developing deep learning models.
Have work experience on Unix/Linux OS.
A good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Be highly motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Good time management skill and can deliver projects in time.
Knowledge in research equipment setup or chemical handling would be an added advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1
to 2 year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory
performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate
with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include
