Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Nephrology of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 524168)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • assist in kidney research led by Professor Sydney CW Tang
  • work on research projects encompassing the realm of clinical nephrology and basic science pertaining to kidney inflammation and fibrosis
  • contribute to projects to elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of different forms of acute kidney injury/chronic kidney disease in translational medicine
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in immunology, biochemistry or related fields, preferably with experience in advanced biostatistics and related software usage
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently with high motivation

    The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
