Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant (Several Positions) in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences , to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline with at least 2 years' relevant experience. Those with a Master's degree plus at least 1-year post- qualification experience or Bachelor's degree with 3-year post qualification may be considered for appointment as SRA. Candidates with experience in healthcare, technology, or older adults and their caregivers setting will be given preference.
The applicants should be self-motivated, willing to learn, able to work independently and in a team, and with a strong sense of responsibility and work ethics, good communication skills, and high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese is required). Those with related track records of academic publication are preferred. Familiarity with gerontechonology, psychotherapy, and experience in providing therapeutic interventions, managing large databases and conducting advanced statistical analysis will be an advantage.
The appointee(s) will conduct high-impact research in community project(s) for older adults and their caregivers, especially involving big data analytics, development of gerontechnology and intervention protocols, capacity-building trainings, screening and risk assessment, psychosocial intervention groups, social impact/cost effectiveness analysis, and other duties as assigned.
