Join the BoRdeaux Institute of onCology (BRIC) research unit at the University of Bordeaux!

You would join a consortium of scientists from France, Spain, Portugal and Ireland in a European project based at the University of Bordeaux.

The BOTS project "Blue Organoids for Treatment Selection" focuses on developing organoid technology for personalised medicine. Chemists in Pau and Bordeaux will create hydrogels that will be tested in organoid culture by biologists in Bilbao, Lisbon, Dublin and Bordeaux.

This programme was selected by the European Commission for the Atlantic Area Interreg programme.

The project, lasting 3 years, has 5 partners from 4 European countries: France, Spain, Portugal and Ireland. The consortium brings together academics working in universities, hospitals and technology transfer centers.

  • You seed organoids with a 3D printer
  • You quantify the growth and death of organoids in response to treatment
  • You could also build and produce lentiviral and adenoviral vectors for labelling and editing tumor cells and inject tumor cells into the milk ducts of NSG mice
