Public Policy Southampton is the University of Southampton's knowledge brokerage unit and part of its Research and Innovation Services. We work to enhance the local, sub-national, national and international public policy impact of research conducted at Southampton. The successful candidate for this role will have an interest in public policy development and an understanding of the ‘impact agenda' within the UK Higher Education sector. They will be a creative self starter with excellent communication skills and knowledge of the University of Southampton's strategic goals. We would strongly encourage applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups with the UK academy to apply for this role.

Our vision and mission at the University of Southampton is to have a community where staff and students feel welcome, supported and valued. We foster a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity, encouraging applicants from diverse backgrounds, with the belief that excellence will achieve through recognising the value of every individual. Our flexible working practices, including an emerging hybrid working model, where employees can split their working time between the office and home, support our belief that this balance brings long lasting benefits for our institution as well as our people. For this role candidates will need to be on campus regularly and to be available to attend meetings and events externally as required.
