  • About You

    The Planning & Delivery Coordinator will work with the Planning & Delivery Manager, Associate Director – Office of the DVC Education and the ODVCE team to support and execute on the program of work from RMIT's strategy and the Education Plan.

    The role is responsible for providing high level support, advice and expertise in the Education Portfolio's planning and delivery function, including strategic planning and positioning, monitoring of performance, business analysis, implementation and delivery support, and working across portfolio groups to support innovation.

    The role will contribute to the development and delivery of key strategic projects, monitoring progress and reporting on project status. Furthermore the Planning & Delivery Coordinator will collaboratively contribute in representing the Portfolio on key university-wide strategic projects and focus areas aligned to the university strategic plan.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in mapping and analysis of data from a variety of sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and drive continuous business improvement opportunities and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and analytical skills.
  • Well-developed communication & interpersonal effectiveness skills and proven ability to positively influence a wide range of key stakeholders within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes against firm timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate to conceptualise, develop and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Experience with financial tracking and reporting.
  • Relevant experience in an academic environment (desirable).
  • Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

    About the Portfolio

    The Education Portfolio leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the student experience.

    The Portfolio is responsible for:

  • development and implementation of the Education Plan in accordance with University strategy as it relates to best practice in learning and teaching, student experience and academic staffing
  • oversight of quality assurance for RMIT programs and their contribution to the development of improved outcomes for students and partners
  • development and implementation of policy relating to academic profile and its impact on academic programs and staff
  • leadership and management of relevant projects deemed as priorities in the RMIT Strategic Plan and University Annual Operating Plan
  • provision of learning resources through the RMIT University Library
  • identifying and planning for administrative and support services to meet the needs of different student cohorts, on and offshore, across the student life cycle
  • promoting access to Vocational Education and Higher Education by students from diverse backgrounds and targeted equity groups
  • developing and maintaining systems, processes and procedures related to the student record.
