    About the Role

    Reporting to the Team Leader: Clinical Placement Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating metropolitan, rural, interstate and international student placement activities and providing administrative support relating to students enrolled in programs across Allied Health and Human Performance, and Clinical and Health Sciences.

    About the Allied Health and Human Performance Academic Unit

    UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, and human movement.

    Our degrees meet the evolving needs of the health industry, with our graduates actively contributing to the future health workforce in areas such as medical imaging, rehabilitation and wellness, disability, health promotion, chronic disease, pain management, wellbeing and high-performance sport.

    Student learning extends beyond the classroom, with access to purpose-built facilities including a wide range of laboratories and simulated hospital and health service environments on campus. Students also get practical, hands-on experience through a range of scholarships and placements with UniSA's range of community clinics and with industry partners such as SA Health, the Calvary Wakefield Hospital, SA Metropolitan Fire Services and Helping Hand Aged Care.

    In addition to industry-linked careers, UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance research strengths continue to influence and positively contribute to the health industry and broader community. Our main areas of research include pain sciences, evidence translation, rehabilitation, high performance in sport, nutrition, genetic epidemiology and cancer. UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance is also home to UniSA research concentration: Innovation, Implementation & Clinical Translation in Health (iIMPACT) which focusing particularly on persistent pain and breathlessness, rural health and stroke recovery and UniSA research group Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA), which investigates the role of exercise, nutrition and other lifestyle activities in improving clinical and health outcomes.

  • Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills appropriate to successfully communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality customer service
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities within set timelines and proactively find solutions whilst working under pressure
  • Ability to develop and apply a thorough understanding of the Academic Unit's programs and their placement requirements
  • Experience in developing and maintaining paper-based and electronic administrative systems and experience in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
