  • About the Role We are seeking a Placement Coordinator - Nursing and Health to join our dynamic Health, Science and Community department within Vocational Education and Training (VET).

    As the Placement Coordinator - Nursing and Health, you will be responsible for providing expert administrative support to the Nursing and Health Teaching area in relation to all aspects of student nursing and health placements. This includes placing students in health facilities, responding to placement related queries, liaising with the relevant departmental and placement administration staff, and external facilitators regarding documentation and recording and filing student's nursing practice details. A key part of this role will involve fostering strong working relationships with clinical services.

    We are looking for an individual who is highly organised, has excellent multi- tasking and communication skills, and who enjoys building positive relationships with stakeholders.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role including coordination of a range of functions and provision of advice and interpretation of policy and procedures in a vocational or tertiary education institution.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and flexibly within a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, in particular MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications. Knowledge of InPlace is desirable.
  • Qualifications

  • A degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience in similar administrative fields; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Registered or enrolled nurse would be highly desirable, however all applicants will be considered.
