The University has flexible location principles, but there is an expectation that this post, where will be required, be on campus any day of the working week.
We are looking to appoint a Phoenix Integration Consultant who will design and implement integration services in line with the Student Record System which can align to the University’s strategy to coexist alongside the existing enterprise, through a new programme of work called Phoenix.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Phoenix Integration Consultant will have primary responsibility for developing and implementing the technical and software solution necessary for the integration of data and migration of the new Student Record System to ensure continuity of services used for learning, teaching, research, business and administrative services.
Whilst the Integration Consultant will be dedicated to the Phoenix implementation team, it will be necessary and expected that they will also work collaboratively with other colleagues in the corresponding teams to ensure strategic alignment against the University’s enterprise.
The Integration Consultant will provide specialist expertise focused to Phoenix to develop, manage and ensure support of integration, identity management and data warehouse services, ensuring reliable interoperability and secure exchange of data flowing to and from Student systems and other applications software. Responsibilities will also include installation, configuration and upgrades to Student Record System software as required in line with SaaS provision.

You will have substantial proven practical expertise and experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in design, implementation and management of IT systems and substantial proven expertise and experience in data modelling, mapping and analysis. Experience and understanding of the technical architecture relating to a Higher Education student record system and experience of providing technical leadership in a complex environment are also essential.
You will have a good understanding of information security principles and best practice and demonstrable knowledge of IT project best practices. Being self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work calmly under pressure using own initiative as well as strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
