Must renew registration with KBOP on day one if lapsed and must keep registration in good standing and renew annually. Physical Requirements May include standing, sitting, or walking for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above or below shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Shift Primarily Monday through Friday. 7a-530p Job Summary Assists pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution at UK Specialty Pharmacy. Fills prescriptions and packages orders for delivery in a busy retail-based pharmacy setting. May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience One year previous work experience (preferably in a related field) is preferred. Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain registration with the KY Board of Pharmacy. High school diploma or equivalent required. General chemistry knowledge, basic algebra, and proficient reading/writing/speaking in the English language, preferred.
