The University of Brighton has an exciting opportunity to join its People Partnering team. This new partnering team has been established following a review of the existing employee relations function.

Reporting to the Head of People Partnering we are looking for an experienced People Partner to support and drive forward change in the area of strategic policy development and implementation, reward processes and deliver against our people strategy.

In conjunction with the ‘People Partner – Employee Relations' you will operationally lead and manage the provision of the People Advisory service, ensuring compliant and consistent advice and good practice across the University.

The role is busy and varied, requiring strong generalist HR knowledge (from any sector); demonstrable experience and skills in political diplomacy and strategic policy development in a large unionised organisation; as well as exceptional communication skills. The role will have the freedom to build relationships and partner with allocated academic Schools and professional departments.

The team operates a hybrid working arrangement which offers up to 60% remote working. In addition, the University offers a generous benefits package which includes 27 days annual leave (plus additional Christmas closure days) as well as access to Local Government Pension Scheme and a range of family friendly policies.

Closing date for Applications: Tuesday 28th May 2024

Interviews will be held in person at the Moulsecoomb Campus on Tuesday 4th June and Tuesday 11th June 2024
