  • About the Roles We are excited to introduce the new university-wide Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) program at the University of Melbourne. As the PASS Program Coordinator, you will lead the planning, administration, coordination, and evaluation of this innovative program.

    Your role will be based in the Scholarly Development (Student Learning and Academic Skills) team. The PASS Program Coordinator will lead the design and development of a centralised PASS program, ensuring the effective delivery of learning resources and services that cater to our diverse student community.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of the PASS program across the University.
  • Leading liaison with faculties, academic staff, and advisory groups to ensure the PASS program is aligned to priorities and students' learning needs. Overseeing all operational aspects of PASS, including timetabling, resource allocation, program evaluation, and budgeting.
  • Who we are looking for Are you a dynamic professional with a proven track record in designing and delivering tertiary-level academic skills programs? We seek a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your ability to think creatively and solve problems within established timelines is essential. You will have demonstrated experience in managing program design and delivery, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder liaison. Your experience in facilitation, coaching, and supervising professional staff will be highly valued.     You will also have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., education, teaching, learning design) or equivalent experience and training.
  • Proven experience teaching academic, language, and communication skills, and fostering intercultural understanding in a university setting.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in higher education, particularly in online learning and learning design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, managing critical and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to- date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
