Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Services you will be a key player in a team who deliver timely, accurate, compliant and customer focused payroll and superannuation services to a large and diverse range of customers.

• From $80,753 - $91,815 (HEW Level 5), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading. • Full time, fixed term role until November 2024. Based at Wallumttagal Campus, North Ryde • High performing team. Hybird working arrangement.

THE ROLE

Our Payroll team is seeking an experienced and driven Payroll Officer to join a busy and dynamic team to provide payroll support and expertise. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Services, you will support the Payroll team in its delivery of effective and efficient payroll services to the University and its associated Entities.

About You You will have experience with payroll, HR systems and strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. You enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment to achieve shared goals. You are highly self-driven, a team player, and pride on delivering quality work and meeting deadlines.

Prior experience in university payroll or working knowledge of Ascender Pay and Workday would be highly regarded.

The Payroll Services Team delivers accurate, compliant and customer focused payroll and superannuation services for Macquarie University and its controlled entities. The team supports a diverse workforce including staff across teaching, research, healthcare, early education, fitness, retail, hospitality and professional services.

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and processing payroll.
  • Providing service and support on HR administration, payroll and superannuation matters.
  • Experience with Payroll and/or HR Systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills to manage and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • This position requires a criminal record check.
