Payroll Information and Systems Officer Finance Department Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb

In this interesting and varied post, you will be responsible for providing excellent support in the delivery of the effective, timely and proactive use of Payroll systems and information provision to the Payroll Team, Finance Department, and wider university.

You will lead on payroll and pension related projects (both technical and not so), suggesting ways to improve or automate processes and implement developments that will add value, save time, or increase data quality, using Excel skills to integrate and organise reports from and to our payroll software (ResouceLink) and from other sources such as Business Objects and VT2000.

Acting as the primary recipient of payroll related reporting data requests you will take ownership and use several reporting tools to provide accurate and timely data to internal and external customers such as our pension providers, on an ad hoc, monthly, or annual basis.

You will also provide back up for the payroll systems helpdesk and ensure that related queries and instructions have been actioned in a timely fashion and supporting other members of the team as workloads fluctuate.
