Part Time Grounds Keeper

Position Information

Position Status Part Time Department Facilities and Construction General Summary Maintain assigned grounds in neat and orderly fashion by using power landscaping and equipment as needed. Specific Position Duties Perform semi-skilled work in the care and culture of plants, hedges, grass and general maintenance of grounds; Perform ground related work such as mowing grass, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, keeping grounds clean; Maintain athletic fields inside and outside, both baseball and softball. Minimum Qualifications Deliver, haul and move equipment and perform related duties; Operate various vehicles and machinery including but not limited to forklift, backhoe, sweeper, push mower, riding mower, tractor, weed eater, edger and various hand tools; Ability to climb, balance, bend, kneel and crouch to gain access to plants; Near-vision acuity needed to operate tools and machinery; Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or director.
