  • Position Summary:

    UAA is seeking student workers with previous UAA Parking Services Call Team Officer experience. If you have at least 1 semester of UAA parking Services (CTO) experience, please consider applying. This is a pooled student position and applicants will be hired on an as needed basis.

    Duties:

    1001) Serve as the lead Call Team Officer (CTO), providing professional and responsive assistance to the UAA community with the highest degree of customer service. Respond to calls for service such as jumpstarts, unlocks, walking safety escorts, and locates. Provide education and enforcement of parking rules and regulations, to include patrolling of lots. Assist in maintaining a safe campus, reporting to the appropriate department or agency any situations that create an unsafe environment. 2) Train and mentor Call Team Officers (CTOs). Communicate all necessary information and updates. Oversee daily assignments of the Call Team Officers and keep log of each CTO's hours for timesheet verification. Monitor which lots are enforced and ensure waived lots are not cited. 3) Manage signage and markers during events (athletics, community events, snowfall). 4) Check out and collect equipment as needed. 5) Answer phone calls and provide information to resolve basic questions or concerns. 6) Assist Enforcement Supervisors as needed related to events and special projects.Essential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Reasoning skills, ability to work outside in all types of weather, self motivated, ability to maintain confidentiality, display professional demeanor, and make consistent decisions. To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must: a. Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or b. Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and c. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA), preference given to applicants with above a 2.5 GPA. d. Students enrolled in non-traditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment with the approval of the Senior Campus Services officer. e. An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.

    High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of UAA campus, building names, and parking lot locations. Prior experience as a Call Team Officer (CTO) for a minimum of 1 semester at UAA.

    Salary Information:

    Student Assistant 2 - $14.96/hour
