    CQUniversity's Facilities Management Directorate is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Facilities Officer - Painter to join our team at the Rockhampton Campus. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a passion for maintenance and painting, with a strong focus on campus upkeep, safety, and customer service.

    In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of site maintenance services including general campus painting, external and internal building painting, and minor room refurbishment painting. You will also contribute to grounds maintenance, event setups, and more, ensuring that the campus remains attractive, functional, and safe.

    You will be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and be highly capable of planning, organising, problem solving and prioritising your own workload. You will also be a proactive team member who adheres to strict workplace health and safety requirements when undertaking a variety of maintenance functions.

  • Position Requirements
  • Proven experience as a painter.
  • Knowledge, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge, of simple tasks involving labour, minor maintenance, minor workplace upkeep and limited grounds care skills.
  • Open Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Manual handling and physical activity are inherent requirements for this position. A suitable level of physical fitness and health is a requirement and must be maintained.
  • Blue Card (Working with Children) check.
  • Forklift Licence and EWP ( desirable).
