An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Skills Centre and Careers for an experienced Operations and Communications Coordinator.

This role will support and promote the work of key University services contributing to student success and employability. You will focus on increasing student engagement with skills and careers provision, through providing effective project and administrative support. You will also lead and develop high-quality communications, marketing, social media, and web content with stakeholders across the University.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to use both professional expertise and creativity to support student success. It requires proactive liaison with the Faculty Marketing teams, Student Recruitment and Admissions Office, Widening Participation Office, colleagues across the Departments of Marketing and Communications and others to ensure that Institutional and Faculty/School strategies and activities related to student recruitment are complementary and consistent.

You should hold a first degree and a postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional experience, in one or more of the following areas:

  • HE administration
  • Communications/Marketing/PR
  • About you
  • Are you an excellent communicator and administrator with significant experience across operations and communications?
  • Do you consider yourself to be highly motivated, with the ability to form strong professional relationships across boundaries, and with multiple stakeholders?
  • Have you got a proven track record for working creatively and making an impact?
  • Are you pro-active, dynamic and have a facility for strategic thinking?
