  • Salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
  • About the Role

    You will work with academic staff within Academic Units to support the development and delivery of curriculum for new online programs. Key responsibilities include applying professional/discipline-related expertise to deliver high-quality online teaching to undergraduate students, contributing to the digital transformation of courses, and coordination and day-to-day management of online tutoring staff.

    You will have a focus on supporting students studying a range of degrees across Health disciplines, including Health Sciences and Public and Community Health. Subject areas include biology and biosciences and foundational health courses.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development and teaching of engaging course curricula and materials for new, fully online, undergraduate programs
  • Work collaboratively with staff and other key stakeholders to design learning activities and implement teaching approaches that maximise learning outcomes
  • Undertake teaching as part of a teaching team, including coordinating moderation of assessment activities, learning support and evaluation
  • Undertake course coordination activities and provide leadership and day- to-day management of other academic staff within the teaching team
  • Provide academic support, mentoring and advice to students, ensuring high standards of responsiveness to student queries
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, with evidence of recent teaching experience and discipline knowledge within a relevant field
  • Demonstrated passion for and proficiency in undertaking teaching duties including the design and preparation of online teaching activities and resources
  • Understanding and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including the ability to develop supportive learning environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching through continual development and improving performance
