£24,089 pro rata Part Time, Fixed Term - Professional Ser

Part time – 24.5 hours per week (6 month maternity cover – March 25 to August 25)

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in the 2-5's room. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for providing a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which the children can flourish and thrive.

No qualification is necessary for the post but experience with working with children under 5 years is required.

Working pattern:

Monday 11.45-2.30, Tuesday 10.15-5.30, Wednesday 8.30-2.30, Thursday 8.30-2.30, Friday 11.45-2.45 (24.5 hours)

You will be:

  • Assisting the nursery nurses with the care and supervision of the children
  • Assisting with the preparation and provision of suitable activities
  • Attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of the children, working in partnership with parents to ensure that each child reaches their potential
  • Participating in on-going training.
  • You should have:

  • Experience of working with children under 5 years
  • A good standard of written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to working in partnership with parents to provide a high standard of childcare.
  • Interviews will take place on Wednesday 12th March 2025.
