Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Research Manager Northern and Eastern Ontario and located at the New Liskeard Agricultural Research Station, the Agronomy Assistant assists the Agronomy Technician in conducting and delivering research trials to support research programs.
The Agronomy Assistant is expected to support in field research trials (replicated small and medium plot trials) including a wide range of disciplines such as cultivar evaluation, including but not limited to soybeans, wheat, corn, oats, barley, canola, forage crops.
The Agronomy Assistant will assist with final field data collection, harvesting, and processing of the samples. Some assistance with the planting of the fall crops will also be required.
Requirements
Note: This position is located on site at the Ontario Crops Research Centre - New Liskeard. Successful candidates will need to live within commuting distance of this centre, as this is a 100% in person position.
